Reaction of The Day * (○。_。) (」゜ロ゜) * |
So, today I went and visit my "super hero power" maker! Better known as my optician actually. HEH!
Okay okay, all jokes aside.
It's been a full two years since I last went and get my eyes checked for a new pair of lenses, and obviously I got a small lecture from him -.- Zzz.
Truth is, I'm seeking on another optician (which is a friend of my dad) for my yearly check ups just cause he charges a cheaper price on my glasses (○゚ω゚)
Anyway, I got my eyes checked up as per usual and then again as per usual, the power of my lazy eye has increased -.- Now one side of my power has doubled the power of the other. Yes, DOUBLED.
And no, this is not the big deal just yet, since my previous power was -7.00 and -13.00 , it's more than half of a way up to doubling it anyway.
The big deal was actually my eye pressure. Yes, there is such a thing called the "eye pressure" for those of you who didn't know. It's somewhat like your blood pressure just that this is occurring on your eyeballs instead.
And my eye pressure is going out of the norm according to my optician. (GODDAMMIT, IT'S ALWAYS ME WHEN IT COMES TO THE EYES!) And if the pressure doesn't subsidize I might just be heading towards something called Glaucoma. And by that, it means I might have a high chance *TOUCH WOOD* that my visual field will be lost and eventually, over time leads to blindness (· - ·)
When he explained that to me I almost cried. But he quickly said it could be helped by monitoring closely to the pressure though. It's not like it help a lot on having to know that I might loose my eyesight, but it's better than nothing.
Anyway, that's to the extreme. So far, the only thing I'm more concerned is that Lasik for me is not gonna help much on improving my eyesight. In fact, he actually suggested me to get some "cataract-like lens implant" surgery instead (○。_。) SAY DAFUQ IS THAT?!!
Okay, that's just so much of a scary shit that I could tell in a day.
that's scary! I was thinking about doing Lasik too but haven't made up my mind yet. I'm just too scared of the word 'surgery'.

Yeah, the word "surgery" does make things sound a lot more scarier than it is.
